Norton, born circa 1871 in Wyoming, daughter of John Norton and Cynthia C. unknown. John was born circa 1835 in Alabama and died Feb 1895 in Chehalis County, (now Grays Harbor) Washington. In the divorce of my great granduncle Fulmer Moore from Ida E. Norton, she was charged with "adultry on or about April 1897 with person or persons unknown at a house of ill-repute on "G" street in the city of Aberdeen, Chehalis County, Washington." The 1900 census of "G" Street" in Aberdeen does not show any structure that might be construed as the above mentioned 'house.' Does anyone have more information on this location or on Ida E. Norton? Thanks for any help.

Seeking descendants of Jonathan Dorr Norton. Reunion this 4th of July weekend. He was born at Harpersfield, Ashtabula county, Ohio, Oct. 22, 1841, a son of Washington Adams and Caroline (Harper) Norton. A 1912 bio taken from Pages 184-186 from volume III, part 1 of Kansas: a cyclopedia of state history, embracing events, institutions, industries, counties, cities, towns, prominent persons, etc. ... states the following about the children of Jonathan Dorr Norton. On Dec. 24, 1863, Colonel Norton was united in marriage to Miss Ada Sheffield, of Napoleon, Ohio. Seven children have been born of their union, five of whom are living. Dr. William Sheffield is a physician at Muscatine, Iowa; Marie Norton is the wife of Dr. H. S. Judd, of Tacoma, Wash.; David Watterson Norton is cashier of the First National Bank of Guymon, Okla.; Jonathan Dorr Norton, Jr., resides at Kansas City, Mo., and Ralph H. Norton is a deputy in his father's office. All five of these children are married. The two deceased children were Ada May, first born, who died when two years of age, and John Harper, fourth born, who died at the age of twenty-nine, leaving a widow and one child. Colonel Norton and wife have nine grandchildren. Both are members of the New Jerusalem or Swedenborgian Church of Topeka.

If you haven't go to: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp and run your great grandmother by her married name. When you click on her name, you'll see the word "household" on the right hand side. Click on it and you'll see the whole family that lived in that house. Next try clicking on next or previous household. Lots of times, relatives lived next door or a couple of houses away from each other. You can also try a Google search. If you have more info post it. The more info you give, the better chance of finding someone who's doing the same family, but perhaps a different line. If you don't want to post it here, email me with it and I will try to help you. Good hunting!
