Perhaps there is a clue here for someone. Articles about the death of William Norton published in The Janesville Gazette (Rock County, Wisconsin) 2 Aug 1905 (page 5, column 5) and 4 Aug 1905 (page 5, column 2) listed the following children: William F (of Chicago), John F (of Chicago), Michael M (of Chicago), Thomas T (of Chicago), Mrs M J Bixby or Rixby (of Chicago), Mrs Wm Kelly (of 258 S Franklin St, Janesville), and Martin (of New Mexico). Bert Norton and Mrs J Flynn accompanied Mr Norton's body from Chicago (where he died) to Janesville (where he was buried), but I wasn't clear they were Mr Norton's children. "Mt. Olivet Cemetery of Janesville, Wisconsin" published by the Rock County Genealogical Society includes the following Nortons: William, 051-01-01, 1833 - 1905 Bridget, 051-01-02, 1836 - 1901 Anna, 051-01-03, 1800 - 1883 William, 051-01-04, (no date) - 1839 (note: no stone) Mary (Lorenz), 051-01-05, 1885 - 17 Nov 1964 Edw J, 051-01-06, 30 Aug 1896 - 17 Oct 1957 Raymond R, 051-03-01, 1895 - 1918 Mary, 051-03-02, 1859 - 1928 (note: wife of John T) John T, 051-03-03, 1857 - 1924 Thomas Dewey, 051-03-05, 8 Sep 1898 - 18 May 1954

Daniel was from South Carolina but moved to Florida sometime before the 1850 Census.
