This is a frequently referenced book on Northrup family lines. There's a section in the back listing unconnected families and another listing of Northrup soldiers. While at Google Books, search for "Northrup genealogy" or similar to see if anything more pops up. The Google folks have digitized some genealogy journals, too. In fact, works on any subject imaginable. You're fortunate, as am I, that the Northrups / Northrops (same ancestry) were documented so well. I haven't seen anything negative about the book.
