Hi Richard, According to the family records, Nicholas Northup was born (b. 1797) in Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York, which at the time grew to be one of the largest "towns" in the country, because of the opening of the adjacent land. The records indicated that Elizabeth Bentley was born in Ohio (???). Can you give me the names of Nicholas and Elizabeth's children? I had only found seven. Nicholas has been reported to have had at least 6 siblings. Is that consistent with your records? Yes, we have been able to track a LARGE number of Needham's descendants, and there are about 110 "Camps" in the family file. Was there someone in particular you need info on? The Milo and Sarah (Northup) Camp marriage (1826) seems perplexing since she would have been VERY young. Could this have been his sister, Nicholas and Lydia (Palmer) Northup, Sr.'s daughter?
