    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: evelynp53 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.northup/380.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thank you for responding to my post! I do have the book you reference on my hard drive here and have browsed it...I went through again this morning scanning for Alberts, and I will end up doing it again - and hopefully using the text further down the road. Apologies for not including my dates - I will flesh him out a little bit here just in case. Albert G(ardiner) Northup was my great grandfather, b. Sept 29, 1882, East Greenwich RI,d. April 13, 1954. He had a brother Lewis/Louis who was married to a Bertha. Married to Lucinda Sheffield b. March 7 1881, d. October 16, 1952. (her side seems to be going well) Children include Albert Jr, Alice, John Amos Sr. (my grandfather, who was born on Block Island) and a Frances who died very young. It appears that most branches of my family are well documented and easy to follow, except for this one key point. I am diving back into this after several years of letting it slide...it's amazing how much more has become available since I last tried filling in the blanks. All I've got at this point are a handful of remembered names via my dad, am hoping for a few more hints from my aunt at some point. 3. Your Albert is probably not in this book as A. Judd Northrup did the Northrup's out of Connecticut and the Rhode Island Northrups were a completely different family. I know as I am descended from the RI ones on my dad's side and the Connecticut ones on my mothers. I am really busy right now at work but email me after April 17 and I will check and see if I have a record for him. Sincerely, Laressa Northrup [email protected] On Tue, Mar 13, 2012 at 8:37 AM, [email protected] < [email protected]> wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: evelynp53 > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.northup/380.1.1.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Thank you for responding to my post! > I do have the book you reference on my hard drive here and have browsed > it...I went through again this morning scanning for Alberts, and I will end > up doing it again - and hopefully using the text further down the road. > > Apologies for not including my dates - I will flesh him out a little bit > here just in case. > > Albert G(ardiner) Northup was my great grandfather, b.
