Northup ONEONTA — Charles I. Northup, 56, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, of injuries sustained in a farm accident. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta, where the Rev. William D. Bouton will officiate. A full obituary will appear in Tuesday's edition of The Daily Star. Arrangements are pending with the Lewis-Hurley Funeral Home. ----- THE DAILY STAR (Oneonta, NY) Tuesday, December 1, 1998 Charles I. Northup ONEONTA — Charles I. Northup, 56, of Oneonta, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, of injuries sustained in a farm accident. Mr. Northup was born June 24, 1942, in Oneonta, the son of James C. and Tressa (Tuttle) Northup, and was married to Linda Hall on March 28, 1964, in Oneonta. She died on Dec. 6, 1982. On July 4, 1987, he married Theresa "Sam" Graham in Oneonta. He was a group leader for Amphenol in Sidney for 39 years. He was a member of the IAM Union No. 1529. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Oneonta. He is survived by his wife, Sam; his father; his children, Denise and her husband, Wes Montgomery, of Greenfield, Timothy Northup and Kim Munson of Oneonta and Diane and her husband, Justin Munro, of Norwich; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Stephen Johnson of Oneonta, Mary Jane and Larry Truax of Pittsfield; his brothers and sisters-in-law, James E. and Frances Northup and Glenn and Linda Northup, both of Byron; his grandchildren, Joshua and Stephanie Montgomery, Aryalynn Lynda Munro, and Craig and Jacob Manelius; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Mary Graham and Lynn Hall; best friend, Edward Hughes; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Tressa, his first wife, Linda, and her mother, Elizabeth Hall. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta with the Rev. William Bouton and the Rev. Joseph Fiske officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Intergenerational Ministries of First United Methodist Church, 66 Chestnut St., Oneonta, N.Y. 13820.
