Are they any connections to a gr. gr. grandmother of mine, Annie Northrup? Annie had 4 children by her 1st marriage and 4 children by Edward Jarvis Eldred. Mary Ann Northrup was the mother of the Hon. Charles Dodson Eldred. Nathan Northrup (or Northrop) emigrated from Connecticut to the Wyoming Valley in 1792 and on to Monroe Township soon after. Old Mrs. Nathan Northrup lived to be one hundred and five years old and married the second time at the age of ninety-eight, when she is said to have astonished the wedding guests by dancing an old-fashion stip like a girl. Edward Jarvis Eldred's third wife, Annie Northrup survived him three or four years and died at a daughter's, Mrs. Martha Tuttle, in Oakland County, Michigan. Her maiden name was Northrup, and her parents were natives of Connecticut. She was first married to John Ross, of Luzerne County, PA, who died leaving her a widow with four children. Mrs. Ann Eldred, mother of the editor of the "Lycoming Gazette" , died at Walled Lake, Oakland Co., Michigan, aged 65
