Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oR3.2ACEB/249.1 Message Board Post: As is normal with Northups in Ohio, the name is without the final "R". I think you will find your Isack listed on the 1880 Buck, Hardin, Ohio Census, as the son of John and Francis Northup. As you say, he was born in 1864. He has 5 Siblings listed: Marry, Annie, Ida, George and John. He was the oldest and the others are listed in order, descending. Not much other information listed on a Census report.

    1. Wives of Stukeley Northup, born 1755
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Northup, Potter, Gardiner, Supprise, Hersey, Larkin, Crandall Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oR3.2ACEB/255 Message Board Post: My 4th great grandfather, Stukeley Northup, was thought to have married a woman named Mary Rose. I have never found a birth date for her or exactly who her parents were. Most death records for Stukeley's children indicate they were the children of Stukely and Mary although I have not found them all. Exeter, RI records show that a Stukely Northup, son of Mary Rose, married Phebe Rathbun there on 04 OCT 1795. There is no date for the marriage to Mary Rose. To really confuse matters, I found a will for a John Smith that names his granddaughter Ann, wife of Stukely Northup, This was in 1782. I do not believe there is another Stukely who could have married this Ann and I am not sure who her parents were (John Smith names sons Thomas, John and Amos, and a daughter Marcy who married Lory Gardiner - no leads on any of these so far.) I do know that Stukely probably had children by 1782 based on the RI census at that time so her probably was married by then. My line from Stukely goes to his son Stuckley who married Hannah Willis and then to their daughter Phebe E. Northup who married Gideon Casey Gardiner. The fact that the name Phebe appears tow generations down makes me think that Stuckley's mother was Phebe and not Mary. I can find no death records for either Phebe Rathbun or wife Ann. Does anyone else have any clues about this?
