Wilmer (Bill) was a career officer in the Navy. He joined the Navy during WWII and spent most of his career in San Diego, CA. He married and had a son probably born in 1945. Wilmer's daughter belives the son was born in CA and also named Wilmer. I have no luck finding any record. Wilmer and his first wife (the son's mother) divorced. He remarried. This son was unknown to the family. Wilmer's daughter would like to connect with her half brother if possible. It is unknown if the first wife remarried and changed the name of the son. I will forward any information given. He would be my husband's first cousin once removed. TIA, Pat Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: walkerwdbj Surnames: Northup, Weaver Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.northup/374/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for a Northup family line that may be tied to a Weaver family. My gg grandfather was Northup E. Weaver born abt 1825 in Ohio or Kentucky. I have been unable to determine his parents. Only information is through US census records that list his father as born in Pennsylvania. Northup as a given name is not very common but with past naming practices it was not unlikely that a son would be named after a maternal grandparent. I'm guessing that may tie to the Northup surname. Any possible leads would be appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
