According to John B. Northup (INFIN) , Henry's absent "grown son" was Stephen Northup who was living in Providence, R.I. at the time. Henry's other male children seem to have not survived. I have my family tree going back to Stephen Northrop Jr. (1660-1733) of Providence, RI. Then I have two different Stephens who could be his father. I have Stephen Northup (1633-1687) from Wales and then another Stephen Northup (1625-1687) from London, England. The one from England I have traced back to Henry Northoppe, son of Thomas Northoppe Jr., son of Thomas Northoppe Sr. (1535) of Mirfield, England. The Stephen from Wales I have back to Stephen Northrup (1610). I hope someone can unconfuse me about this.

    2. The information you have on Harriet Gertrude Northrup sounds correct. Charles Walter Manahan was my Grandfather's (Ivan Judson Manahan) brother. Both children of Charles Henry Manahan and Emma Ellen Lee. In my records I have that Charles and Harriet had four children, but I do not know there names or dates of birth. If you have any information on the children I would appreciate it if you could email me at [email protected] I will be willing to share what information I have with you. Thanks, Gerald

    1. Re: Nicholas Northup, Jr.
    2. Hi Richard, Based on Sarah's and Milo's birthdates, this Sarah's parents were Nicholas Northup (b. 1752 in England) and Lydia Palmer (b. 1775). She was one of Nicholas Northup's (b. 1797 in Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York) siblings. Send me an email ([email protected]), and I will be happy to provide a LOT more info on the family. There were a number of "Needham's" in the family, and as was common for the day, they used phonetic spellings for both their Christian and surnames; so there are quite a number of variations. Best regards, Clyde :-)
