Benjamin Harrington(Hearnden,Hearndale,Herrington) m. Elizabeth White , dau. of William and Ellizabeth White. They had nine children named - Joseph Hearnden, Alice Hearnden, Sarah Hearnden, Benjamin Hearnden, Mary Hearnded, William Hearnded, John Harrington, Thomas Hearnden, Isaac Hearndon. All were born in Providence, RI. I have 2 full pages on Benjamin if you's like a copy. Let me know. There is a gape in our family line. He is supposed to be my ancestor from the Herrington side. My GGranddad was Richard Bragg Herrington son of Richard M. Herrington and Julia Ann Pollock. It says that he is our ancestor due to the fact that they had many descendants named Job Herrington and this is the only branch of the family where this name is found. If you can help, I'd appreciate any info.

I have his ancestry pretty detailed. He moved to Kansas from the Gallia County, Ohio area. As far as I can tell, he was pretty much a lone wolf. His parents were Stephen Monroe Northup and Harriet Eliza Gilbert. There were four children; Harriet Rebecca, Marcellus Alexander, Stephen Elmer and Charles Monroe. E-mail me for more information. Eli and Phoebe (Osborn) Northrup do have a "gap" in the reported birth dates of their children that would be consistent with Vander's records, but there were many more relatives in the neighborhood about this time. Best regards, Clyde :-)

There was an Eli Northrup that is probably his brother in Steuben County. Bernard Tomsett thinks they are the sons of Isaac Northrup (of whom there are many), but has no proof of that. I will try to do a little more research on the subject. Annette Campbell did a quite a bit of research on the Steuben County Northups and Northrups. I will see if she knows. Rick
