Just an additional comment that I am sure you know - people who lived at Winlaton may well have walked to Whickham, rather than to Ryton for baptisms. <Ryton Holy Cross baptisms: Rebecca and William both baptised 25 Dec 1805, Rebecca born 18 Sep 1803, William born 9 Nov 1805, 1st daur and 1st son of William Colquhoun of Winlaton, smith, native of this parish, by his wife Isabel Oliver, native of this parish. <Winlaton St. Paul was not a parish on its own until 1828. Ryton covered a large area that split off into smaller parishes after 1828.>
Thanks Heather They are only popping up in Ryton and Gateshead at this stage but time will tell.
