Among the lists and extracts of Wills proven at Durham which the author does not mention, probably because they already appear in the sources he does mention in his introduction, will no doubt be the series of Surtees Society Volumes covering, between them "interesting" summaries of Wills up to 1650 and also the five volumes published by the NDFHS covering "Personal Names mentioned in Wills Proven at Durham" and running from 1787 to 1803. Those five volumes cover all names mentioned, even if just in passing or as witnesses, together with their stated relationship, address and/or occupation, whatever is given, but they do not mention the actual legacies. They are, of course, well indexed, as are the Surtees Society ones.
