Can anyone help me find out what happened in 1884 to the glassworkers at Hartley Glass? My Gt Gt Grandfather Archibald Donaldson was the Chairman of The Founders and Teazers' Committee, Sunderland and it appears there was some distress at this time according to articles in the Sunderland Daily Echo and Shipping Gazette.
