Dear Listers I am looking for other people researching the family of William GIBSON who married Jane BARBER  c1791 in Northunberland. Wiliiam GIBSON of Stamford was baptised at the Embleton Parish Church 15 February 1767 and Jane BARBER of Fowberry was baptised 20 November 1768 at Chatton. I have been unable to find their marriage c1791 at either place. Can anyone help me? Sue SharmanTaurangaNZ

Hello Neighbour! I see there is a baptism transcribed on familysearch.org for Sarah Henderson Gibson in Embleton on 08 May 1814 with birth on 29 Jun 1812. Parents are Jane Barber and William Gibson. There was also an event (male child baptism?) at Embleton in 1799 in the same place. Jane Gibson was baptised in Embleton in 1808. So it looks like they might have been married (if they were) in Embleton. Are there any records missing from the Embleton marriage register? How much have familysearch.org transcribed? Have you seen the original on microfilm or fiche? You might be able to find the batch number and just search the whole register at familysearch. Maybe it is on line now too. Hope this useful. Hi All, I am looking for Thomas Gibson baptised 23 Sept 1792, Whittingham, Northumberland-parents James Gibson and Ann Wilson. The family moved to North Shields in around the 1800's. I can find no further information on this individual and help will be appreciated. Albie Gibson, South Africa
