The Freeman Hospital opened in 1978 so cannot be the place in question. There was the Holy Jesus Hospital which was commonly referred to as the "Freemen's Hospital", but I think that was closed long before the 1930s. Rather than speculate, why not get a copy of the death certificate which should solve the mystery? Brian -- Brian Pears (Gateshead) -- Brian Pears - Joint List Admin NORTHUMBRIA Mailing List
