What was Isaac's wife's maiden name?? She may well have been baptised at Stanhope and if so you could look that up on the Familysearch BT site.. Thanks John I have not been able to ascertain Maria's maiden name - nothing on the IGI for their marriage.. According to the CENSUS records she was born around 1813/4 and they were probably married in about 1835as the oldest child was born in 1836! According to the IGI there were 21 Marys bpt in Stanhope at around that time - and 8 Marias! I will have to order the birth certificate of one of their younger children to get her maiden name.
