Hi everyone, I too had wondered about the name Dan's Castle. I think there's a pub of that name too on the A68 as you leave Tow Law and approach Inkerman. My father also called that area Worlds End as his father had. Does anyone else recall that name?? I have seen Worlds End marked on a map in a book that a friend had and again I've wondered where this name came from too. While we chat about Tow Law I also have a query about another building there which my ancestor Nicholas Moralee was born in. It is marked on old maps and was called Copy Castle or Coby Castle but appears to have gone now. I think it may have been an ancient building and wondered if anyone knows of any photos of it.
