Gen, In my neck of the woods ( Horton Parish) we had a country lane that got called both Hathery and Heathery. The Northumberland farm and parish database lists a place called Heatheryburn within the High Quarter township, in the southern part of Hexham parish. Whitley parish was a southern neighbour of Hexham parish. And I think Whitley parish was originally a chapel of ease out of Hexham parish. On modern-day maps ( e.g. Google maps etc) a spot called Heatheryburn lies close to Steel in the area south of Hexham. Michael
