The database of Northumberland Farm Index lists four places called Horse Close 1) Within the Featherstone Township of Parish of Haltwhistle 2) Within the Melkridge Township " " " 3) In the Parish of Bywell St Peter 4) In the Parish of Simonburn Mickley, Mickley Square and Mickley Grange lay within Ovingham Parish which was neighbour of Bywell St Peter Parish. Ovingham and Bywell St Peter parishes were some distance from Haltwhistle Parish. Michael
