Hi Cindy, I've just been looking at my tree, and I don't think I have a Cuthbert RIDLEY who was born in 1740. I have a Cuthbert RIDLEY who was baptised in 1765 and his parents were Matthew RIDLEY and Ann(e) HUDSPETH. Matthew RIDLEY'S parents were Cuthbert RIDLEY and Margaret MALLABAR. (have no dates for them yet) Does any of that ring any bells? The above people were researched by someone else, so I haven't too much detail about them at the moment.
