Hi there I am trying to find out information relating to a turkey farm that existed in the 1960's & I visited with my Grandmother. There is a photograph in the family of a "farm house" with the name DARRAS HALL on the gate, so of the family believe that is the farm I use to visit, I am not sure. I believe that there is a link to our family & would like to explore this connection further. MTIA Jim

Hi Jim, I lived in Whinfell Rd in the 1960s and 1970s. From memory Darras Hall farmhouse was on Edgehill just around the corner from where we lived. I don't remember turkeys being farmed there though.. There is some info about the building in one of my Ponteland books but not from the period you are referring too. Perhaps if you could let us konw the family name it may ring bells. My dad had a garage in Ponteland and lots of folks had accounts with us..
