    3. Not everyone had a published obituary. Most only had a death notice in the classified section of the local newspaper. This would only contain death info and where the burial or cremation would be held and when. Hi Gen I think its a difference between what we in England or Britain know as an obituary (a write up of a persons life and career and momentous happenings in that persons life) and a death notice In the USA, Canada and to some extent Australia they seem to refer to a death notice as an obituary In my experience very few indeed had an obituary, some had a death notice in the paper and the majority had nothing Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > > Not everyone had a published obituary.
