Hi Evelyn Unfortunately my Elizabeth Kirkley was born 100 years before yours, but in the same part of the country. As you say Hall is one of the most common surnames in England. regards Paul Paul Andrews 07977 012203 http://www.facebook.com/spandrews ________________________________ From: Evelyn MacCallum <evelyn@llanreath.eclipse.co.uk> To: northumbria@rootsweb.com Sent: Sun, 4 April, 2010 21:02:01 Subject: [NMB] Hall / Kirkley Hello Paul Though both Hall and Kirkley seem fairly common names and the dates you gave aren't compatible, I just wonder if there is a connection between my Kirkley / Hall families and yours. In my line, George Kirkley married Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Ralph Hall of Lanchester, in February 1808 , by licence in Heworth, Co Durham. They had a daughter, Elizabeth, born 1811, baptised in Heworth, 03 Nov1811. I have no further information about this Elizabeth. Probably this will just complicate things but there may be a family link somewhere.
