Ref. 10b 426. Judy, Probably the best way to proceed from here is to obtain John's birth certificate. This will give the names of his parents, and other potentially useful information. Certificates are available from local registrars, or from GRO (General Register Office). There is a fee. If you do a web search you will find plenty of information. Whilst there is now a vast amount of information available online, there is often no substitute for paper records.
