    1. [NORTHEY] Invitation to Christmas Dinner

    3. Hello folks, This list is far too quiet and neglected so here's an attempt to liven it up a bit... Let's say you could invite just one departed Northey (or their spouse) to your Christmas Dinner. Please send a message to this mailing list telling the rest of us who it would be (provide their name and dates/locations), and... what questions you would ask that person, and... *why* you want to know the answers? You never know... that person's spirit may just find a way to answer the questions in your message! :-) Cheers! - Dave -- David Naylor, Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada. "Hello darling, I would love you to come to my Christmas dinner. We are having a traditional hot lunch, and I am sure my children and grandchildren would love to meet you. I would love to talk to you about _your_ family. I have many questions for you for example who are your parents and when were you born? I have been unable to find any record of your birth. Were Daniel Vinney and Cecilia Woodman your parents? You may also be able to tell me who the grandparents of your daughter Betsey's husband - James Richards were also. If you were still alive I would love to come and spend some time with you and find out what life was like in your day. I know that life was not easy when you were alive. I was surprised to find out that you were a nurse, and I also want to know if John Woodman Vinning was your brother, as I suspect. Can you tell me what the connection between Robert Northey and the Northey's in Cornwall? I think you better plan to stay for a couple of weeks, because I am sure you would have so much to tell me!!!!! Lots of love from Heather Matthew" --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com

    3. I would invite Robert Northey , my x4 great grandfather. He was born 1801 in Cornwall, England and died 1856 in Millville, Grant Co, WI. He married Martha Edwards, 22 July 1829, at Chasewater, Kenwyn by Hugh Oxenham. In the 1841 census, Enumeration Dist #16, Kenwyn p 78, Todpool, all surnames Northey, all born in county, Robert 40 Miner copper Martha 30 William 10 Miner copper Elizabeth 4 Living in the next dwelling were these Northey's also all born in the county Robert 67 Miner copper Elizabeth 24 Miner copper William 7 I would ask about his wife and her family. I would ask if the Robert living next door was his father. The poor man would probably run away from me with all the question I have to ask. I have Info on Robert and Martha's Children but I have been stuck on the Robert's for years and on the Edward's family. I have found 28 Robert's in the Todpool, Chasewater area and cannot determine which one is my Robert. Everyone have a Merry Christmas!
