Dear Listers, I am calling on you for some advice on obtaining marriage certificates on my trip to Ireland in September 1999.We are planning to land in Belfast on September 10,1999 for a ten day stay.While there I would like to get marriage certificates for the five marriages listed below.Since the marriages are prior to 1922 I assume that I will have to go to Dublin for them. Quetions: 1. Will they let me search their archives as an alien? 2. Can I expect to get certificates on the same day? 3. Should I try to get Data from the local church where they were probably married? 4.Is their any logic in applying by mail in advance of applying in person? 5. Are their files readily accessed or do you have to wait for a clerk to find the record volumes that you need? These are just a few of the questions that I can think of .I would appreciate any advice that you might have in this pursuit.Below are the list of marriages that I am researching.
