I need to know who was "Lord Loftus Tottenham" or "Tottentram" who my 3X great grandfather allegedly worked for in Ireland in the early to mid 19th century. Some time ago, I tracked down who he was, tracked down his current heir, and talked to the man; for some reason, tonight in all the university biographical data bases as well as in Alta Vista and Google searches of the Web I cannot verify that the man existed. Previously, I learned that he was a prominent member of the Irish Parliament. Could someone please look him up for me, tell me where he lived and where he worked/ hung out, and when my ancestor would have been working for him if indeed he did (the descendant could not confirm it). I have the name transcribed both ways, and that is an easy error to make. But it appears that Tottenham is the name of a family of politically active Irish gentry, and Tottentram does not exist. It is possible that Loftus was the man's middle name which he went by. Thanks much. Yours, Dora Smith
