I am looking for information on my 2X great grandfather, Henry Nathaniel Lowe, b supposedly 1837, married 1862 in Tempo, Fermanagh County, died in 1905 and I'm not sure if he died in New York or Canada having been forced to leave the country, or is buried in the Enniskillen Church of England graveyard with his wife (d 1881) and two children. I understand he was a newspaper editor in Fermanagh County, and that there is something about him in a newly published book on Fermanagh authors by James McCanny. This must be one obscure, not to mention British, publisher as the reference librarian and I could not find the book or James McCanny, anywhere. I would appreciate a lookup in it if anyone comes across it. But family stories about the man include that he made alot of money and then lost it, "and was robbed of it" according to his son, meaning probably he felt that he'd been cheated or swindled somehow, and he may have been "run out of Ireland for being a Mason". I am sure that is hardly the whole story of whatever happened if it did. Henry Lowe's father allegedly worked for a Lord Loftus Tottenham or Tottentram who was a prominent member of I think the Irish Parliament, and the whole family were Masons and members of the Church of England and had aristocratic pretensions. It is possible he got embroiled in something. It certainly doesn't sound like he led a tame newspaper editor's life. If he got embroiled of something of that magnitutde, perhaps people in Ireland may be able to find something about it. If anyone is in any Irish libary where informaiton like that would be, I would greatly appreciate a lookup. Thanks much, Yours, Dora Smith
