    3. Charles Clark: Thank you for your 07 May 1999 reply to my request for information. Your charts on TORRENS and book on the Young family of Culdaff, on the Inishowen peninsula, Co. Donegal, certainly sound interesting. Is the book "Three Hundred Years in Inishowen" by Amy Young of recent vintage? Who is the publisher? How much information does Amy Young provide on the individuals in her book? Are members of families identified? My uncertainty regarding the TORRENS / TORRENCE names was that TORRENCE was the second given name of my grandfather and my brother and my nephew. I had assumed that because that name had been passed down through the generations that it was the surname of Alexander Young's second wife. And, though TORRENCE is in fact a variation of the TORRENS name, which I recently learned from the TORRENS website, a document obtained from another branch of our family supports your thought that TORRENS is probably correct.
