    3. Greetings from sunny Brisbane Australia..... I am clutching at straws here.... My grandmothers' father, according to my father, was a 'big 'Orange Man' from Ireland. I would 'assume' (never a good thing, I know) that he was from Northern Ireland. His name was John Sidney DYER He was known as 'Jack'. His father was Joseph DYER I have a copy of John Sidney DYER's marriage certificate. He was married on 24 July 1887, in ChristChurch in the Parish of Kensington, London, to Eliza HAWES, an English girl. John Sidney Dyer was 23 years old when married, making him born approximately 1864. On the marriage certificate both John and his father were labourers. This is EVERYTHING I know about this man. I looked for him in 1881 on the English census and could not find a John DYER of the appropriate age, born in Ireland, father Joseph. I have come to the conclusion that in 1881 he was probably still in Ireland. Does anyone have ANY idea where I might start to look for him in Ireland? In desperation - I am all yours......
