I have a rather incomplete pedigree for the descendants of Sir William Hamilton of Donemana/Dunnamannah and Manor Elieston, eldest son of Sir Claud Hamilton(d. 1614), and I need more information regarding this family. What I have, in brief, is this: Sir Wm Hamilton of Donemana(1604-1662) was married at least three times, and by one of these wives, was father of a Sir James Hamilton of Elieston. His third marriage was to a Lady Beatrice Campbell, by whom he had a son, Claud, of Montaloney/Munterlony, whose descendants became known as the Hamiltons of Beltrim(later Cole-Hamilton of Beltrim)and the Hamiltons of Montalony, Woodbrook, and Strabane. The outline, as best I can piece it together, goes like this: 1.Sir Claud Hamilton of Schawfield, Killeney, and Teadane(d. 1614) 2a. Claud Hamilton(1648-1692)of Monterloney, etc. 3a.Claud Hamilton of Monterloney, Woodbrook,etc(1673-1736)m.Isabella 4a.Sir John Hamilton of Woodbrook(1763-?) 3b. William Hamilton of Renimore and Beltrim(1671-1746) 4a. Claud Hamilton(>Cole-Hamiltons of Beltrim) 4b. William(?) 2b. James Hamilton of Manor Elistoun. 2c. Arthur Hamilton(?) If anyone can provide me with a lineage for these Hamiltons, I would be most grateful. I don't live anywhere near a decent/large library or a FHC, and I am just about at the end of my resouces. If, perhaps, this lineage can be had from a published source, that by itself would be a god-send as then I could likely get it via ILL. Regards to all, Larry D. Hamilton Coats
