Hello, I am searching for information about Patrick Francis Dowling born 4/27/1837 in queens (laois) county Ireland and immigrated to the u.s. in 1851. His fathers name was Edward Dowling, and his mother was Sarah Whelan or Whalen Dowling born abt. 1815. I believe they are from the parrish of Aghaboe in Queens co. (now laois). Patricks brothers name is also Edward Dowling born about 1847 in same county and also immigrated in 1851 to u.s. He lived his whole life in his brothers home and never married. I have no evidence that Edward Dowling (the father) ever immigrated to the u.s., but sarah whalen dowling did show up living with her son, in a u.s. directory in 1866. Any information or recommendations on how to search for this family would be most appreciated. I have ordered micro films from the RLDS family history center, here in my home town in the u.s.
