1911 Census for Belfast and County Down on my web site at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36 Last year I did a search of the 1911 census for a certain area in the Victoria Ward of Belfast. Typically, the address I wanted was missing from the film. However, it struck me that it might be of interest to some of you to see the extra information that is given in the 1911 census as opposed to the 1901 census. For example, it tells how long the people had been married. How many of their children were born alive and how many of the children were still living in 1911. I have put this one film for Victoria ward on my web site under the 1911 census button on the left hand side of the home page. A lot of people have asked me how do I get hold of these films. The films of both the 1901 and 1911 censuses can be ordered from your local LDS Family History Centre for you to search for your self. The long term loan fee is £3.80 for three months. The short term fee is £2.80 for one month. I hope this information might be of some help to those of you interested in searching these records. My new guest book is now up and running after my old guest book host went out of business. I am gradually replacing the messages you all kindly sent when you signed my old guest book. You will get a message of acknowledgement when your message is re-entered. Kindest Regards & Merry Christmas.
