Hello. I am new to the list and am trying to trace the parents of James Parker - my great grandfather. I was told they came from Ireland. My gr grandfather was born in 1836 and eventually came to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he married and had two children Charles (my grandfather) - born 1862 and Emma born 1878 and died 1880. James died 1886. I realize there is not very much to go on but and help will be most gratefully appreciated (James, Ellen (his wife) and daughter Emma are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery here in Halifax.) Thank you.
