1901 Irish Census Extracts on my web site at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36 I have today posted some more census records on my web site. They continue with the Duncairn Ward of Belfast under section Two E. Unfortunately the film reader broke down and I was unable to complete my search this week. I will continue with it next week. In the meantime I have completely re-formatted the 1901 Irish Census records section. I have put separate links with a brief description of the content of each section. Hopefully this will make it easier to navigate and enable you to find the areas you are looking for. I have now published quite a lot (about 1200 streets) of my Belfast street directory in the same format as described above. I will put some more streets on A.S.A.P. My apologies for any difficulty you may have had with the message board. I believe this has now been resolved. However, the guest book is still experiencing technical problems. Unfortunately this is beyond my control. The company who provide this service will have it up and running again as soon as possible. Kindest Regards. 1901 Irish Census Extracts on my web site at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36 I have posted another six films on my web site. The first one covers: Barony: Dunluce Lower Poor Law Union: Ballymoney District Electoral Division: Portrush. The other five films covers various areas of Belfast. As you are all probably aware the 1901 Irish Census is not indexed. In the event of any queries the only way I can refer to any particular film from my original notes is by the date it was searched on. Hence the button titles Census One A, One B, One C and so on. Then it starts again with Census Two A, Two B, Two C and so on. The latest ones posted today are under Census Two B. Please note that there are a lot names other than my names of interest. For example in-laws, grandchildren, other relatives and servants. So it might be worth while taking a look through the various records. Kindest Regards. Hello listers, >From December 1885 onwards to about 1902, there was an issue of thirteen (13) children from the union of Robert and Rosa Nugent. All of the children were thought to be born in Belfast. Apparently some died at birth and some died young. I know of seven who survived and the remaining six are my solid brick wall. Should anyone have information, I would be thrilled to receive whatever can be found. Many thanks in advance. Joan. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

1901 Irish Census Extracts on my web site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com~jeanmccarthy36 Hip Hip Hooray! I have finished inputting the census records I had to delete previously. They run from Census One, Census One A through Census One F. It seems to be working OK using separate pages. I will continue to input the new records for Census Two A just as soon as my eyes start functioning properly again. Many thanks for all your kind messages of support during this marathon task. You gave me the courage to carry on. I will reply to everybody who is waiting to hear from me A.S.A.P. Does anyone know of a conversion program that will convert Microsoft Publisher tables into Access or Excel? If I could get hold of something like that I could then upload my records to Roots Web. Roots Web would then be able to create a searchable data base for everybody’s benefit. Failing that I will have to key in all my records all over again to Access. <GROAN> Kindest Regards. 1901 Irish Census Extracts on my web site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36 I have began reposting the original deleted census records. I have called them Census One, Census One A, Census One B, Census One C and so on until I get up to the latest records of Census Two. I have put them all as separate pages so hopefully there should be no more problems. If had been a bit more knowledgeable in the first place I would have saved myself a lot of grief as well as work. Still, it was an excellent learning experience. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kindest Regards. Jean McCarthy nee Moore. Hello. I am new to the list and am trying to trace the parents of James Parker - my great grandfather. I was told they came from Ireland. My gr grandfather was born in 1836 and eventually came to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he married and had two children Charles (my grandfather) - born 1862 and Emma born 1878 and died 1880. James died 1886. I realize there is not very much to go on but and help will be most gratefully appreciated (James, Ellen (his wife) and daughter Emma are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery here in Halifax.) Thank you.
