    3. I have not been able to find any passenger lists with NOBLE on it -- looking for any NOBLE who emigrated from Northern Ireland between 1800 - 1850 to Ontario (Upper Canada) Canada . If anyone has any lists, could they please do a lookup for me. Thanks.

    3. Hi Ellen, I would suggest that you try the web sites with ship's passenger lists probably from England to New Orleans. I think that I had a relative of my wife who was named Hopley who went from Liverpool to N.O. in May 1854. The ship was the "Ella A. Clark". Others in the same family tried to go to NY but were caught in a hurricane and were rescued and taken back to England where they tried again. Whether it would work in your case, I don't know, but a cousin of mine sent a request to NARA for the name of the port where out grandfather arrived from Germany. In 1885 he left Germany. Nara came thru with a ship's list and immigration info. plus port of arrival. The hitch here may be the year. Nara may not go back to 1845.     3. "Costley" is the surname of the family I am trying to locate but man, those brick walls hurt. So far, William (Costly) Costley b July 1821 in Ireland, d February 15, 1892 in Campbellford, Seymour Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario, Canada, son of William Costly and Sarah Unknown. He married (1) Jane Unknown. (Tombstone for Jane, wife of Wm. d April 24, 1854 located at West's Cemetary, Seymour Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario, Canada) married (2) Philippa Hoskin June 18, 1858 in Seymour Twp., daughter of Pasco Hoskin and Mary Unknown. She was born in England, d "a few years prior to William in 1892". William's religion is listed as Wesleyan Methodist. William's obituary says " The deceased was a native of Ireland, and emigrated to this country (Canada) about the year 1837. For several years after his arrival in this country, he resided at Cobourg and made himself quite useful as a local preacher in that locality. His father was an English Church clergyman." The 1871 Canadian Census, Durham West, Clarke Co, an Elizabeth Costly is listed as 58, b Ireland, Wesleyn Methodist, Occupation Farming. Could Elizabeth be a sibbling to William? These are the facts as I know them. So, can anyone HELP!!!!! , please and thank you!!! Heather
