Thanks for the reply, Carl, I didn't know that, I always thought Appleton Thorne was a prison near Appleton. Now I see it on the map it makes things even more complicated. Are there any old maps of Cheshire that might show where Littlemoor Row was or is? Can anyone on the list help? My Grandfather Fred BRAMHALL is shown here in 1881. It simply says, "Littlemoor Row, Appleton, CHE."
