Hope you don't mind me posting this on List Penny, but it is interesting for the others, I think. I have spoken to two of your "Names" in the last two days, Spalding and Dilworth. Strangely, I am finding that some people have done research before, without the use of computers or CDs and maybe for this reason they are reluctant to get involved with the internet. Dave Spalding said he knows his name has German and Dutch links, and of course, our town/city of Spalding, in Lincolnshire, on the East Coast of England, will have had lots of immigrants from across the North Sea. He didn't offer to get in touch with you. Valda Dilworth said she knows that the name Dilworth comes from a town near Preston, which is a proper place and has little side shoots with names like Dilworth Bottoms etc. She didn't really seem interested in genealogy at all. I expect your already knew all this about the towns? Marged Always looking for: INGHAM, FISCHER, BENTLEY, HUGHES, PEACOCK, MOUNIER, LATINIER --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
