Doug McClure played in The Virginian, for sure. I don't recall him in Rawhide, though he may have been. As for Gunsmoke, are you talking of Dennis Weaver's character? He's the only one I can recall with a limp. His characters name was "Chester." On the radio, Chester was played by a man named Parley Baer. Then, there was Milburn Stone as Doc Adams (Howard McNear from the radio), Amanda Blake (Georgia Ellis on the radio) as Miss Kitty, James Arness played Marshall Dillon on the television show --William Conrad played the Marshall on the radio. After all the days work was done, we would gather around the radio/tv for a bit of entertainment. Usually, Gunsmoke was the program of choice. Becky
