"The Continental" in Wallasey was a lovely little cinema where they showed quite cultural films. the first time Don and I went out together (on our own) we went to see "Aida" there, with Sophia Loren, I think, playing the title role, but not singing, of course! One of the nice things about the cinema was that they served coffee in proper cups and saucers in the interval. We had to take the Ferry 'Cross the Mersey to get there.
