Marged, Pigs eat meat by god you should see what they eat in large wild enclosures same with chickens! Ever thought about how much rat meat gets into your supermarket free range chickens? They are excellent rat killers you see one get cornered and rats are fast but a hen can be hell and it doesnt waste it either, gobbled and gone. Not too mention the odd other sister Hen that dies....... They waste nothing that is edible as neither do Pigs and Boar. Simple converters like us. Jeeps Marged you live a comfortable life and have the freedom of choice and life though I am afraid I have to say, passes you by. Very convenient blinkers you wear and having it both ways. Regards, Mikey. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marged <marged@btinternet.com> To: <NORTHERN-ENGLAND-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 25, 2000 4:42 PM Subject: [NTH-ENG] EATING MEAT > I don't know if I have said this before - hit the delete button if I have. > > I am a meat eater, but I would prefer to be a vegetarian. Aint defeated any purpose Jim, Mind you yer might have a point there, EEC free range chukkie eggs aint what they are reckened to be, a load of Myth. But I would rather have eggs and meat from free rangers outside my back door that have eaten rats and ever other goddarn thing, rambling free, healthy and happy than that rubbish. There free range and free range none of them are Farmyard free. I'l call my first one Tonto, it will be a Rhode Island Red for sure.
