    3. My hubby bought me dinner set of that pyrex with the red rose one year - 6 plates, dishes, gravy boat and a set of casserole dishes and a large serving plate. First proper matching plates we had. Only got one casserole,the gravy boat and the large serving plate left. I used that every weekend for years for my Sunday roast.....must be well over 25 years old.     3. I remember telling my mother that all my dishes would be matching - not a collection of mismatched pieces like hers. She reminded me of this once I had been married long enough to develop my own collection of mismatched dishes.
