When I started on the Horwich/Westhaughton area mine cost me about £27 I seem to remember. I suppose your batch of fiche [fishes] doesn't cover the Gorton area by any chance? My parents were there by the 1930's but I don't know if any of the family was there before that. Hi Brian I don't think my present batch go very far into Gorton but I will eventually be getting more because my lot were in the Clewes St. West Gorton area in 1881. If you tell me the names you're interested in and perhaps even an address I'll keep a look out for them.
