That reminds me of the time I took Elizabeth aged 6 to the doctor for her yearly school checkup. He looked in her ear and said there is something red in here. The red object was a red pencil lead tip. A month later, Catherine aged 3 complained her ear was sore. This time it was a blue pencil tip. Not only that there was another object in there that the doctor could not remove even with three of us holding her down. After a trip to the ear specialist and a morning at the hospital where Cath was anaethetized, a ball of newspaper covered in wax was retrieved. I think you got off lucky, Maggie.
