Spectemur Agendo. = This message comes from AVG Virus Alert mailing list. You got it, = because you have subscribed this service or you are registered = user of AVG Anti-Virus System. If you don't want to get this = information, please see the bottom of this message. *************************** *** AVG Virus Alert *** *************************** A new worm VBS.SST.A is spreading through the Internet in e-mails like this: ------------------------------ Subject: Here you have, ;o) Hi: Check This! ------------------------------ as an attachment named AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs. Due to this confusing double extension, AVG is able to warn you about this worm. The worm is simply encrypted and after opening the attachment it sends itself to all users in Outlook address book. The worm creates a file AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs in Windows directory and writes following registry keys: "HKCU\software\OnTheFly\Worm made with Vbswg 1.50b" "HKCU\software\OnTheFly\mailed" On January 26, the worm opens a webpage http://www.dynabyte.nl in your browser. For detection of the virus you need update of AVG number 231, but even older version of AVG will detect duplicate extension of the attached file and notify you. ---------------------------------------------------------- If you have any comment, questions or need more information, please feel free to contact us at grisoft@grisoft.com Thank you for you interest in AVG Anti-Virus System. -- GRISOFT Inc.
