I never noticed that, Mikey! In fact all the female line in ancient times is left out. Its stuff like this that made me a feminist. :-)) The lady in question is now hurling abuse at the Cheshire listers. She feel their caveats are mere jealousy because they lack such a distinguished genealogy. Her last words are "to H* with them". She says Rootsweb lists are never worth it.as they all react with the same sort of jealousy, etc.! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mikey" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 04, 2001 11:05 AM Subject: Re: [NTH-ENG] Fw: [CHS] Iintro > Dear Jean et al, > > Eve was left out; I wonder why!:-)) > "refs available"!; on & in which Planet & Universe.......... > > Coppock's Reward Notice seen on the Ark. > > caveat emtor, > > Elvis Presley & Gromit. > > > > > | > Hi! Dear Jean, Jealousy: That was the kind of response I expected from Annie, a bit like paying 10 Mill $'s for a Rembrandt, then be told it is a fake. The more they have paid the more genuine it must be, and of course as night follows day, 'To admit one has been fooled?', that comes after self deception, wanting to believe etc, the Auction rooms are full of them. You can take a person to the "Eau de vie" but you cant make them think, "Ecce homo!" :-)) "Ah! what can application do, Unless we have a gnius too? Or geniu how have cultivation Without due pains and application?" Unknown translator. Horace. Its that kind of thing ( sheer fantasy, gullabilty and self deceit, ) that made me return home and out of frustration paint all the coal in the coalhouse Green at the age of perception and attempted conditioning; my first Schoolday in 1948. I walked into school and was faced with children in a sandpit. Most of them were throwing the sand out, the teachers were putting it back in! I told my mother about it when I got home adding "But Sand is for mortar and building a house.", and we never saw eye to eye on anything ever again untill 2 days before her death. Excessive love, therfore easier to paint!:-)) Regards, Mikey.
