    3. I rarely send attachments unless asked to do so [with one notable exception recently :-(( ] and never accept them unless I am expecting them. I found it safer. The messages which really drive me up the wall are the ones from companies which automatically dial into the web when you highlight them and then you have to leap about trying to find the mouse to stop the dialling before you get another item on the phone bill. I nearly slipped a disc [floppy one] the other day when my chair spun round the opposite way to me. 1. [NTH-ENG] The Turkey.........................
    2. Another good one The Turkey Shot out of The Oven...!!! The turkey shot out of the oven, And rocketed into the air, It knocked every plate off the table, And partly demolished a chair. It ricocheted into a corner, And burst with a deafening boom, Then splattered all over the kitchen, Completely obscuring the room. It stuck to the walls and the windows, It totally coated the floor, There was turkey attached to the ceiling, Where there'd never been turkey before. It blanketed every appliance, It smeared every saucer and bowl, There wasn't a way I could stop it, That turkey was out of control. I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure, And thought with chagrin as I mopped, That I'd never again stuff a turkey, With popcorn that hadn't been popped. If I put in $1.00 American to change to english Pounds, I get .7024 pounds. If I put in 1 english pound to convert to American Dollars I get $1.42 . It should be about $1.30. I wonder why the difference? -------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Happy Hunting!~ -----Original Message----- Subject: RE: money conversion Possibly because your converter uses accurate arithmetic! :-)) Try dividing .7024 into 1. Guess which is which. Work it out, divide 1 by the appropriate exchange rate. If 1 US dollar is worth 0.7024 UK pound then 1 UK pound is worth approximately 1.4236902 US dollars. If 1 UK pound is worth 1.42 US dollars then 1 US dollar is worth approximately 0.7042253 UK pounds. What's all this got to do with the price of fish anyway? (rhetorical question). Only ONE!! And do you know why it only takes ONE? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb. They don't even know the bulb is BURNT OUT. They would sit in this house in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it OUT. And once they figured it out they wouldn't be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact they have been in the SAME CUBOARD for the past SEVENTEEN YEARS. But if they did, by some miracle, actually find the light bulbs, TWO DAYS LATER the chair that they dragged from two rooms over to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE CRUMPLED WRAPPER THE STUPID @*%&$ LIGHT BULBS CAME IN! WHY? BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE 12 FEET DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THE HOUSE!!!
