Hi Marged, No, we don't have Louie's...at least I have never seen them before. They do have some shopping malls that have them, though. We also call them shopping centers. They started to go back more to the strip malls rather than the regualr malls; this way a patron can go in and out without having to walk all through the mall just to get to one shop. I have been to the malls this week 7 or 8 times...it wouldn't sur- prise me if it is more. Oh, yes, there was another this evening. I don't know whether I am coming or going anymore ! :) Glenda > >Hi Glenda - do you have Louie's Submarines sandwich shops in the mall eating >areas?
So you have the same as me ..... good fielding practice. ...lol Maggie Surname interests: BICKER, MILLER, SPRATT, MARSH mainly in Kent MATTHEWS, GRANT, COAFFEE, BERESFORD, SWEENEY in Middx, Bucks, USA and elsewhere

Up until the 80s the local shop delivered. They also delivered the milk and would pick the book up on a Tuesday and Friday and then deliver the same afternoon, in a box, on my kitchen table so all I had to do what put it away. Now that was services. The Coop van also used to go round once a week and there was a shop in the next village. Some change from pushing a trolley with a mind of its own, putting it on the checkout, taking off, packing into bags and back into the trolley...out to the car ...whichever way the trolley wants to go but usually sidewards, and then into the boot....drive home, unpack into the kitchen and then into the cupboards....Life is certainly harder now. OOOOOOOh Mikey - I am starving now.....how long would it take me to drive to yours? Too long....I'd miss tea.....oh well I will just have to bake some scones and try that recipe that a friend gave me, handed down from her grandmother, for Scottish shortbread.......hard life... Me too - I also like Glen Miller. My father's great loves were Strauss and Jazz. Used to go round the house whistling the Radetzky March and Dark Town Strutters Ball. Apparently he used to play in a band when they lived in London. Had a banjo that I was forbidden to touch but he did let me try the mandolin but my fingers couldn't cope with the double strings. I still think of him every New Year's Day....and I love Strauss too. My middle name is Rosamunde, after Shubert's overture. Glenda, Please don't take this wrong, as I'm just curious! When do you sleep? It seems like you were online when I gave it up for the night & looks like you may have talked through the night? I am enjoying it all, but do you sleep? What part of Indiana are you from? I have relatives & ancestors from there. Mine are mostly from Miami Co., Tipton Co., & Wabash Co.. Becky

Dear Dave, All of you make the food sound so good (well, I should say, most of the food (: ). I wish I would have been raised with the teas and such, for I think that would have been such a wonderful time. America is constantly on the move...here, there, everywhere so the food is us- ually what we call fast food...something quick at a fast food estab- lishment that usually is not nutritionally sound but heavy-laden with fats and sugars. There are a few that cater to the public with a healthier fare, but there are very few of those. We ate yesterday at SubWay...a submarine sandwich shop. You pick out what you want them to put on whatever choice of bread you would like (there are six of these, I believe) on the sandwich, thereby, allowing one to have a a healthy choice. We were out shopping (this is why I am so far be- hind on the list messages) today into the evening and so we had to eat out again last night. We stopped at a Ralley's Burgers which is hamburgers, mainly, but also have chicken sandwiches as well as a few other items. This wasn't a healthy choice....uggggghhhhhhh.

Dear all, Sadly without the accompanying cartoons. I want to be an idiot And go to idiot land An idiot bird upon my head An idiot in my hand I'd walk like a total idiot And sing like idiots do And people would say "what an idiot, He's an idiot through and through". And I'd plant an idiots garden And live in an idiot house; A harmless grinning idiot With my lovely idiot spouse. Leunig. Regards, Mikey.

Dear Marged, Your right ! I forgot about the Oxo stock cubes; yes, I add those, too. I had not thought of putting a pie crust on it the next day. That sounds good :) I have never been to the UK :(( I would love to go there !!! I envy all of you over in the land of Enchantment. Glenda >Glenda - are you SURE you're not in Liverpool? Dear Dave, I see. Must learn about the UK since so many of my ancestors came from over there. Best Wishes, Glenda
