    3. Hi Glenda - do you have Louie's Submarines sandwich shops in the mall eating areas? Marged | | All of you make the food sound so good (well, I should say, most of | the food (: ). I wish I would have been raised with the teas and such, | for I think that would have been such a wonderful time. America is | constantly on the move...here, there, everywhere so the food is us- | ually what we call fast food...something quick at a fast food estab- | lishment that usually is not nutritionally sound but heavy-laden with | fats and sugars. There are a few that cater to the public with a | healthier fare, but there are very few of those. We ate yesterday at | SubWay...a submarine sandwich shop. You pick out what you want them | to put on whatever choice of bread you would like (there are six of | these, I believe) on the sandwich, thereby, allowing one to have a | a healthy choice. We were out shopping (this is why I am so far be- | hind on the list messages) today into the evening and so we had to | eat out again last night. We stopped at a Ralley's Burgers which is | hamburgers, mainly, but also have chicken sandwiches as well as a | few other items. This wasn't a healthy choice....uggggghhhhhhh. | | --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). I have been lucky in the past few years, I have the odd mouse in my cellar but nothing bigger and they don't come back again - nothing but the odd bottle of wine there and so far they haven't worked out how to get through the cork. 3. Hi Mikey, Yes you could get kitted out at the CO-OP, downstairs was all the grocery shop which sold absolutely everything from candles to boot laces. Next door was hardware with haberdashery upstairs, alas in the early seventies they closed all but the grocery side and later even it went so there is no village C0-OP now :-( In the days when I worked out the divi it was a percentage of a penny per pound spent (cant remember the exact figure) and you could claim it back in goods or cash, I think you got slightly more if claimed in goods. There was also a seat in the corner for pregnant women and old ladies to sit on, no one else was supposed to. I remember when they had to move the chair to make way for the new style self service displays there was nearly an uprising from he regular customers :-)) TTFN Marion <<I only vaguely recall this but I think when the Divi stopped mum got a pay out on top of her Divi, like a share equivalent from the Nottingham Cooperative Society and possibly included was the CWS the Cooperative Wholesale Society. Do you know if they sold the milk and bread please and possible the meat. Could even buy "Candlesticks" at the main one along from the Theatre Royal!:-)) I recall getting my School clobber there. The whole shebang.

    3. Well, as I understand it, I can run AVG as well as Zone Alarm? I haven't cancelled AVG - I love it. When you say "update a Web page", do you mean your own webpage? I don't have one of my own. I actuall did install Zone Alarm once before and found it a nuisance, but I have more understanding of things now (and read instructions more carefully), so I thought I'd give it another try. It has warned me once this morning, so I was pleased. Marged | Be careful, Marged. | | I had zone alarm and had to disable it each time I wanted to update a web | page. Finally got rid and went for AVG. | --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). 2. I remember my father telling me that as a small child he went into the kitchen, saw a bowl with some yellow stuff that he took to be custard and pinched a spoonful........he says it hurt.....taught him never to do anything like that again....lol But he still loved the proper English mustard but my mother made it with milk - she said it made it milder?? I always make it with water. A nice recipe is, I believe, called Norfolk Sausages. You boil the sausages in milk with onions and some mustard and a little flour......must look the recipe out as I haven't had it for years. On Boxing Day, we always have super luxury Bubble and Squeak, which was so popular that I was cooking double the vegetables we really needed, in order to be able to fry up mashed potato with carrot and turnip (a MUST for Christmas day), brussels sprouts, peas, all fried in a big pan until brown and crispy on the outside and served with Christmas meats, and also Christmas gravy.
